Good blood circulation help your tattoo fade faster

Good blood circulation is an important part of the fading process, this is why tattoos located farther from the heart can fade a little slower because there is less blood being circulated to the area.

However there are ways to even the playing field. Our clients often ask us what they can do in between treatments to help speed up the removal process. This is especially important if your tattoo is located farther from the heart, or on an extremity such as ankles, feet, toes, or fingers.

We recommend the following to increase circulation which helps your body process and flush out the ink from your system:

  • Drink plenty of water. The average person needs about 2 liters (half a gallon) a day.
  • Exercise with an elevated heart rate for at least 30 minutes per day (this will also boost your immune system).

Massage the area with an ointment of your choice to promote blood flow to the area. This has the added benefit of moisturizing the skin and improving its overall condition so it is prepared for your next treatment (NOTE: wait until the skin is visibly healed post treatment before doing this — at least a few days).

Doing all of the above during the wait in between treatments will set you up for faster fading and healthy skin!
